CSIR-IGIB applications open for advanced training course on genomics

Hyderabad: The CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB), New Delhi, on Thursday announced its upcoming Advanced Training Course in ‘Genomics and Molecular Technologies’ for Industrial Applications, under the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative and Skill India programme for the 2026–27 session.

The one-month training course, which begins on December 1, has 30 seats and provides intensive, hands-on industrial training in sample processing, DNA extraction and quality control, sequencing, and NGS data analysis.


Eligible applicants include those holding an M.Sc., M.Tech, ME, M.Pharma, MMLT, or BMLT in relevant life sciences, biotechnology, or engineering fields, with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks. There is no age limit. Course fees are set at Rs 10,000 for regular candidates, Rs 20,000 for industry-sponsored participants, and a concessional Rs 5,000 for women, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST applicants.

The application deadline is October 10, with online interviews scheduled for November 2 and 3. Interested students can apply online through the official portal at pme.igib.res.in/bdmg/TrainingApplication.html.
