Massive explosion reported in Syria's Damascus

Syria’s Al-Ekhbariya network reported that the sound heard in Eastern Ghouta, on the outskirts of Damascus, was caused by the explosion of a gas pipeline near the Tishreen thermal power plant—the largest power plant in Haran al-Awamid.

There were no immediate reports regarding the cause of the explosion or the extent of any potential damage or casualties.
