New Delhi: Police seized banned nicotine-containing electronic cigarettes worth around Rs 25 lakh and arrested a man for allegedly storing the prohibited items in central Delhi, an official said on Wednesday.
The accused, Shahzeb, 28, was arrested during a raid in the Ajmeri Gate area on Tuesday.
He was found in possession of three white plastic cartons containing the banned articles, according to police.
A search of the cartons led to the recovery of 1,200 e-cigarettes of different flavours.
A case has been registered in this connection, and the accused is being questioned about the source, procurement, transportation, storage and intended distribution of the banned e-cigarettes, police said.
