The Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TG EJAC) has clarified that its agitation over employees’, teachers’ and pensioners’ demands has only been paused temporarily and will resume in a phased manner.

Hyderabad: Asserting that there was no question of compromising with the government on employees’ interests, Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (TG EJAC) Chairman Maram Jagadeeshwar said the JAC has not called off its proposed agitation over issues of employees, teachers and pensioners in the State.
Speaking at the State Teachers’ Union’s (STU) 80th anniversary celebrations held here on Sunday, Jagadeeshwar said the JAC had only announced a temporary pause and would continue its phased-wise protests in the coming days.
“The government has announced two DAs. A DA, which is due from July 2026, is yet to be released, and three DAs that are currently pending. Another DA will become due in six months. The PRC also has to be announced. We will fight as a JAC to secure these,” he said.
The TGEJAC Chairman rejected the Chief Minister’s remarks that retired employees were being given Rs 1 crore and said the government was paying only gratuity and that GPF, commutation and insurance were employees’ own money.
Participating in the meeting, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu assured employees that their problems would be resolved one by one. He said pending bills had been reduced from Rs 25,000 crore to Rs 11,000 crore.
STU president G Sadananda Goud and general secretary J Gajender said teachers secured their rights and benefits through the struggles and sacrifices of earlier leaders. They said two DAs were secured through united movements.
