Rishab Agarwal, Harsha Oruganti win AITA tennis singles titles in Hyderabad

Rishab Agarwal and Harsha Oruganti clinched the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively at the AITA Rs 2 lakh tennis tournament at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy in Hyderabad on Friday

Hyderabad: Rishab Agarwal and Harsha Oruganti, both from Telangana, won the men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively, in the AITA Rs 2 lakh prize-money tennis tournament at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy here on Friday.

In the men’s final, Rishab defeated Rohith Gobinath of Tamil Nadu 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-3, while Harsha scored a 6-3, 6-0 win against teammate Aniha Gavinolla in the women’s final.

In doubles, Antariksh Verma of Rajasthan and Pranav Korade of Maharashtra won the men’s title, while Sai Ananya Varanasi and Omna Yadav Davunaboina of Telangana clinched the women’s title.
