Hyderabad: Police officials deployed for the Ganesh idol immersion festivities in the city on Friday, briefly joined devotees in the celebrations as the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh idol was taken towards Hussain Sagar for its final immersion.
Senior IPS officer and Khairatabad DCP K Shilpavalli joined devotees and young girls in dancing to the tunes during the immersion procession at NTR Marg.
The moment offered a glimpse of the festive spirit among police personnel, who have been working round the clock to manage the massive crowds, traffic and security arrangements during the immersion procession.
The Khairatabad Bada Ganesh procession is among the major attractions of the city’s Ganesh immersion festivities, drawing large crowds along the route to the Hussain Sagar.
