Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial districts received light to moderate rains on Wednesday night, bringing relief to farmers. Jainoor recorded the highest rainfall of 110 mm in Asifabad, while Dandepalli received 76.5 mm in Mancherial, official data showed.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad/Mancherial: Both Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Mancherial districts saw light to moderate rains, triggered by Cyclone Arnab on Wednesday night, delighting farmers.
The average rainfall in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district was gauged at 37 mm, with Jainoor mandal receiving the highest rainfall of 110 mm. The actual rainfall in the district was measured at 1,001 mm, as against the normal rainfall of 1,003 mm from June 1 to September 24.
Meanwhile, Mancherial district registered average rainfall of 34.6 mm, with Dandepalli mandal recording the highest rainfall of 76.5 mm. The actual rainfall in the district was gauged at 935 mm, compared to the normal rainfall of 916 mm, reflecting a deviation of 2 per cent.
Cotton, paddy, pigeon pea and maize farmers expressed happiness over the rains. They said the rains prevented the crops from getting withered.
