Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao termed the Supreme Court’s decision upholding Danam Nagender’s disqualification a “Supreme slap” to Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
“Danam Nagender’s attempt to escape disqualification has been rejected by the Supreme Court, upholding his disqualification by the High Court under the anti-defection law,” he said in a reaction to the verdict.
Rama Rao stated that Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy thought they could steal a mandate through defections and hide behind the Speaker. However, he said the people of Khairatabad would soon give their verdict against three years of betrayal, broken promises and misrule. “One wicket down, more to follow soon. Mark my words MLA Chor, Rahul Gandhi,” he said.
