Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted searches at 10 locations in Hyderabad and Zaheerabad on Thursday as part of its investigation into a disproportionate assets case registered against Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sankireddy Bheem Reddy of the Police Computer Services (PCS).
The searches were carried out in continuation of the earlier investigation and in pursuance of search warrants issued by the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad. The locations included the residences of suspected benamis who allegedly had financial and other transactions with the accused officer, said ACB officials.
During the searches, the ACB seized several documents and other items relating to suspected benami assets. The officials also found Rs.1.35 crore in cash at the residence of Bomma Venkatesh. Foreign currency and approximately 14 litres of foreign liquor were also found during the searches.
The ACB informed the Excise department about the foreign liquor for necessary action. A case is likely to be registered by the concerned Excise authorities as per law.
The ACB arrested suspended DSP Bheem Reddy in July 2026 after registering a DA case against him. During the operation in July, the The ACB recovered cash, gold, silver, and documents relating to high-value properties—including a luxury villa in Ibrahimbagh, multiple flats and commercial plots in Hyderabad, and large tracts of agricultural land.
The probe revealed that several properties were allegedly held under the names of benamidars, including a former home guard and a watchman.
