Devotees will be allowed to have darshan of the Khairatabad Ganesh idol till midnight Thursday, after which arrangements for its shifting will begin. The main immersion procession is scheduled for Friday morning.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police informed that the devotees can have ‘darshan’, of Khairatabad Ganesh idol till midnight Wednesday after which the people will not be allowed to visit the place.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar, said that the arrangements for the shifting of the Khairatabad ‘Bada Ganesh’, will begin from early hours of Thursday. The main procession will commence at 6 am on Friday.
The Hyderabad CP said that around 20,000 police personnel including those drawn from the Rapid Action Force and the Central Reserve Police Force have been deployed for the peaceful and smooth conduct of the festival.
On the final immersion day, 139 Crime Control Scheme (CCS) personnel divided into five sectors and 25 specialised plainclothes teams will monitor crowd activity to prevent theft and harassment. Women in distress have been advised to contact Dial 112 or the SHE Teams WhatsApp number 9490616555.
Meanwhile, the crime teams have apprehended six persons, who have come from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh and were engaging in theft of mobile phones and gold ornaments from devotees at various Ganesh pandals.
