Hyderabad: Two unidentified persons allegedly attempting to steal petrol from a parked motorcycle fled after being spotted by a house owner in Nacharam on Tuesday midnight.
The incident occurred in Chanakyapuri Colony of Mallapur under Nacharam police station limits.
According to local residents, the duo was siphoning petrol from a bike when the house owner noticed them and raised an alarm.
As residents chased them, the suspects escaped from the spot, leaving behind their scooter.
The Nacharam Police are investigating and efforts are on to identify and trace the suspects.
Police appealed to citizens to immediately alert authorities if any suspicious persons or activities are noticed during night hours.
