Hyderabad: Vinod Kumar Tiwari and Tejasvi Gehlot have been elected as President and Secretary-General, respectively, of the International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) in the elections held during the ongoing Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Sompranchoo will be the Treasurer.
The election process was conducted in a transparent and orderly manner under the observation of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Asian Kabaddi Federation, marking an important step towards strengthening the governance and administration of kabaddi at the international level.
In the election, an 18-member Executive Board Committee was constituted to guide the International Kabaddi Federation for the forthcoming term.
With the new Executive Board in place, the International Kabaddi Federation looks forward to working with its national and continental federations to build a stronger, more unified and globally recognised future for kabaddi.
