Nagpur: A three-year-old tigress was killed in a road accident in Maharashtra’s Bhandara district on Tuesday evening, a forest department official said.
The incident occurred in Lakhni town.
The tigress was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on National Highway 53, the official said.
The post-mortem examination will reveal the exact cause of the feline’s death, he added.
