The Telangana Human Rights Commission has sought a report from the Cyberabad Police Commissioner over the alleged assault of a woman by a Home Guard near Hafeezpet Railway Station. The matter, prompted by an online complaint, will be heard on November 17.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) has sought a report from the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, M Ramesh, over the alleged assault of a woman by a police Home Guard near Hafeezpet Railway Station on September 18.
The action followed an online complaint and a social media video purportedly showing the Home Guard beating and dragging the woman by her hair.
The RPF reportedly identified him as a police Home Guard deputed at the station.
The Commission directed the Police Commissioner to submit a detailed report on the allegations and action taken.
The matter will be heard on November 17.
