Pitbull attacks Class 7 student in Faridabad, leaves him seriously injured

A Class 7 student was seriously injured after a pitbull allegedly attacked him in Faridabad’s NIT-3 area. According to his father’s complaint, the boy suffered bite wounds at 16 places. Police said a probe is underway following the complaint

Faridabad: A pitbull dog attacked a class 7 student in NIT-3, biting him in 16 places, and leaving him seriously wounded, police said on Sunday.

His family took him to BK Hospital, where doctors referred him to a higher medical centre. The boy is currently under treatment there.
According to a complaint filed by Jitendra, a biryani cart owner, his son, Granth, was out with his cycle on Saturday evening and was talking to a friend in front of a house, when a pitbull charged at him.


“The dog kept biting my son. The dog’s owner made no attempt to save my son. People from the neighbourhood rushed to the spot after hearing cries. The dog was finally separated … The attack left him with bite marks in 16 places across his body, including hands and legs,” Jitendra alleged in his complaint.

The pitbull owner has been identified as Om, outside whose house Granth was standing at the time of the attack.
“We have received a complaint and on the based on complaint, a probe is underway,” Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar, the investigating officer, said.
