Hyderabad: Unidentified persons allegedly broke open the lock of a material storage room at the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) in Erragadda and stole 288 iOS devices.
According to the police, N Naga Saivamshi Krishna (31), a native of West Godavari district, works as a site engineer for a private company at the hospital. The company was allotted a room on the fifth floor of the academic block to store its equipment. The materials were kept in the room, which was secured with a lock.
On September 13, staff noticed the storage room’s lock was broken. On checking the room, staff found that 12 boxes containing iOS devices were missing. Each box contained 24 devices, bringing the total number of stolen devices to 288.
The site engineer informed senior officials and lodged a complaint with the Borabanda police. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
