Hyderabad: Cybercriminals allegedly hack bank employee’s social media accounts in Gachibowli

A 27-year-old bank employee staying at a PG hostel in Gachibowli approached Hyderabad cybercrime police after her social media accounts were allegedly hacked. The suspects reportedly uploaded morphed photographs and sent messages to her prospective father-in-law.

Hyderabad: Cybercriminals allegedly hack bank employee’s social media accounts in Gachibowli

Hyderabad: Cybercriminals allegedly hacked the social media accounts of a 27-year-old bank employee staying at a PG hostel in Gachibowli and uploaded her morphed photographs as social media stories.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim, the hackers gained control of her social media accounts through her Google Pixel 10 Pro smartphone. After hacking the accounts, the suspects allegedly uploaded morphed photographs of the woman as stories on Instagram and Facebook.


The suspects also allegedly sent messages to the victim’s prospective father-in-law, causing distress to the woman and her family.

The victim approached the cybercrime police and lodged a complaint seeking action against those responsible for hacking her accounts and misusing her photographs.

The cybercrime police registered a case and launched an investigation.
