Brain-dead daily labourer’s organs donated to needy patients in Telangana

A 30-year-old daily labourer from Rangareddy district, who was declared brain dead following a road accident, donated his liver and corneas to needy patients. His father gave consent for the donation under Telangana’s State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

Brain-dead daily labourer’s organs donated to needy patients in Telangana

Hyderabad: Relatives of a 30-year-old daily labourer, Siluveru Anil, a resident of Loyapally in Rangareddy district, who was declared brain dead, donated his organs to needy patients under State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

Anil was hit by a four-wheeler while travelling on his two-wheeler on September 6 and sustained serious injuries. He was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad, and despite best efforts, his condition did not improve and he was declared brain dead on September 15.


His father, Siluveru Mahesh, gave consent to donate his liver and corneas to needy patients. Jeevandan Telangana extended its gratitude to the family of Siluveru Anil, whose noble decision has saved lives of needy patients.
