Hyderabad: Heavy downpour since last night has completely submerged the underpass near Bible House in Secunderabad, turning the vital railway bridge junction into an impassable waterway.
People visiting Ganesh pandals faced severe inconvenience as rainwater stagnated in the area.
Heavy rains turned a low-lying passage into a deep pool on Monday, bringing traffic to a halt and prompting authorities to urge commuters to use alternative routes. The passage is a key link between Secunderabad and Tank Bund and other parts of Hyderabad. Vehicular movement slowed substantially.
DRF teams from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) swung into action to clear stagnant water, but continuous rain hampered operations.
