Hyderabad: Mild commotion prevailed outside the Telangana Legislative Assembly for some time on Wednesday when a woman from Suryapet staged a protest alleging harassment by the police.
The woman claimed that police personnel were preventing lorries carrying bricks from entering the city, stopping them from parking and selling their loads.
She alleged that the restrictions were causing hardship to brick suppliers and demanded that the authorities intervene.
Police personnel deployed near the Assembly intervened and whisked the woman away from the spot before shifting her to a nearby police station.
