MDR Foundation organised the second edition of its 3K run themed “Pollution‑Free Patancheru – Run for Nature” in Sangareddy on Sunday. The event, flagged off by local legislators, drew over 650 participants and aimed to spread awareness on reducing plastic use and encouraging tree plantation.

Sangareddy: MDR Foundation organised a 3K run on the theme of “Pollution Free Patancheru-Run For Nature” on Sunday morning. The season-2 of the run attracted good participation. The run was organised along the service road of Outer Ring Road (ORR), beginning at JP Farms. MLC C Anji Reddy, MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, MDR Co-founder Maadri Prithiviraj and others flagged off the run.
Speaking on the occasion, Prithiviraj said that they wanted to inculcate responsibility among the citizens to restrict the use of the plastic and encourage them to plant saplings. Since Patancheru had highly polluting industries, he said that everyone had a role to play to restrict the pollution levels in the air.
However, he observed that the pollution levels have been coming down as the government has shifted high‑polluting industries to far off places from the state capital. The MLC and MLA appreciated Prithiviraj for his efforts. Over 650 people participated in the event.
