Cyberabad Police have recommended cancellation of B Shiva Sandeep Sai Anand’s driving licence in connection with the fatal Khajaguda road accident. Police seized his vehicle and took him into custody, while FSL analysis of his blood samples is awaited

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have moved to suspend the driving licence of B Shiva Sandeep Sai Anand (23), son of art director and TTD board member Anand Sai, in connection with the fatal road accident reported near Khajaguda.
Madhapur ACP Sridhar has reportedly written to the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), recommending cancellation of Sandeep’s driving licence as the investigation into the crash continues.
The accident occurred on August 31 morning, on the road connecting the Nanakramguda ORR Rotary and Khajaguda.
Police said one Nanda Kishor Kumar Ray, a Bihar native working as a helper at a hotel in Raidurgam, was crossing the road when he was struck by a vehicle. According to the police, Zaid Shah Qadri (21), a student who was driving an Innova Crysta, stopped after the initial collision and attempted to help Ray. Another person, Syed Amer Hussain, also stopped to assist.
The situation turned fatal when two vehicles allegedly approached at high speed from the Khajaguda side and struck Ray and Qadri while they were attempting to move the injured pedestrian. The vehicles then allegedly left the spot after the incident.
Ray succumbed to his injuries, while Qadri suffered a fracture to his right leg and other injuries and was hospitalised.
The Raidurgam police examined CCTV footage covering the Khajaguda-Financial District route and traced one of the vehicles involved in the subsequent collision to Sandeep. Police seized the Mahindra XUV electric vehicle and took him into custody on September 1.
Police have also sent Sandeep’s blood samples to the Forensic Science Laboratory for detailed analysis. His preliminary drug test was reportedly negative, with investigators awaiting the FSL findings before deciding whether any further action is warranted.
Meanwhile, Sandeep was produced before a local court on September 2 and was granted conditional bail. The police are continuing to reconstruct the sequence of collisions and establish the individual role of each vehicle and driver involved.
