Narayanguda police arrested two persons and recovered 19 stolen laptops worth Rs 7.6 lakh. Police said the laptops were linked to 16 theft cases across Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri, with CCTV footage and technical evidence helping trace the suspects.

Hyderabad: The Narayanguda police arrested two persons, including a laptop theft offender and a receiver, and recovered 19 stolen laptops worth Rs 7.6 lakh on Thursday.
The laptops were linked to 16 theft cases reported in Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri police commissionerates. The suspects were identified as S Vineeth from Warasiguda and V Srinivas, a computer salesman and receiver.
Police said Vineeth targeted unattended laptops in study halls during lunch and dinner breaks and later sold them to Srinivas. The suspects were allegedly involved in thefts near KMIT College and the Telugu Academy area.
CCTV footage and technical evidence helped police trace and nab them.
Police said cases had been registered against the suspects at Narayanguda, Saifabad, Malakpet, Abid Road, SR Nagar, Nallakunta and Malkajgiri police stations.
