Hyderabad: A local court in the city has sentenced a 42-year-old Bihar native to five years’ rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 for selling ganja-laced chocolates.
The convict, Rabindra Behara, was sentenced by Additional District and Sessions Judge M Vani at the LB Nagar court complex on Monday. The case was registered against Behara in 2019 by the Prohibition and Excise Department for allegedly selling ganja chocolates in Shamshabad.
After the trial, the court found Behara guilty and pronounced the sentence. He was sent to prison.
