Hyderabad: Adult family members can appear on behalf of senior citizens, persons with disabilities, sick electors and overseas electors who have received notices, and submit the documents or information required for their disposal, Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy said.
In an official communication sent to the Commissioner of GHMC and District Election Officer (DEO), Hyderabad, as well as all other District Collectors and DEOs, the CEO directed them to issue necessary instructions to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs).
The CEO also stated in the communication that EROs and AEROs must explain this decision to representatives of political parties during their weekly review meetings regarding the issuance and disposal of notices.
