A 60-year-old shepherd died after being hit by a train while crossing railway tracks at Abhangapuram in Nalgonda district on Wednesday. Four sheep also died in the incident. Railway police have launched an investigation into the accident.

Nalgonda: A 60-year-old shepherd died after being hit by a train while he was crossing the railway track at Abhangapuram in Madugulapalli Mandal here on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Velpula Komaraiah, a resident of Nimmakallu village in Suryapet.
The incident occurred when the shepherd, tried to cross the railway track near pillar number 106/14. However, he was hit by the train and four sheep also died in the incident. Railway police have launched an investigation into the incident.
