Hyderabad: Prohibition and Excise officials on Wednesday seized 3.270 kg of ganja during a special inspection at Durga Nagar in Nacharam and arrested four persons.
Acting on a tip-off, Assistant Excise Superintendent (AES) Sri Ram Nivedita, along with his team, conducted raids and caught the suspects, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed (27), Vizza Shivakumar (23), Masood Shaik (19) and Raghupani Mogi Anand (19). The sleuths seized 3.270 kg of ganja from them.
They were handed over to the Nacharam Excise Police Station for further investigation, Malkajgiri Assistant Commissioner of Excise Pradeep Rao said.
Officials said further investigation was underway to trace the source of the contraband and identify others involved in the network.
