Police arrested three more persons in connection with an alleged assault and extortion case involving Minister Konda Surekha’s former OSD Sumanth. The arrests were made in Andhra Pradesh, taking the total number of arrests to four as the investigation continues.

Hyderabad: The Police have arrested three more persons in connection with the alleged assault and extortion case involving Minister Konda Surekha’s former OSD Sumanth.
Khairatabad Task Force police arrested Arun Kumar, Mahender Reddy and Karthik Reddy at Martur in Andhra Pradesh and handed them over to Jubilee Hills police for further investigation.
The case was registered following a complaint by a real estate businessman, who alleged that a group attacked him with iron rods and threatened him, demanding Rs 10 crore.
The police had booked Sumanth and five others including Prashanth, Ramu, Karthik, Arun Kumar Reddy and Mahender Reddy under Section 109 of the BNS.
With the latest arrests, four persons have been arrested so far in the case.
Police said efforts continue to trace the remaining suspects and are investigating the alleged assault and extortion attempt.
