Iran receives messages from neighbors on shaping a new regional order

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says Tehran has received messages from neighboring countries on efforts to shape a new regional order, including proposals for security arrangements and economic cooperation.

In a post on his X account on Saturday, Qalibaf said neighboring states have sent “numerous messages” to Iran about developing new security frameworks and expanding economic cooperation across the region.

He sharply criticized Washington’s regional policies, adding that the US has jeopardized the security of its allies through “bullying” and “disregard” for their interests in favor of Israel.

“The United States put the security of every single one of its allies at such risk through bullying and pure disregard for their interests for the sake of Israel,” the top Iranian parliamentarian wrote.

Qalibaf said some countries in the region had briefly seen their entire existence threatened as a result of Washington’s actions.

“A homegrown, independent order is what will actually deliver peace and security,” he wrote.

On Monday, an Arab diplomat told Press TV that widespread discontent with US President Donald Trump’s “reckless” decisions and his “condescending” attitude toward US allies in the region has widened the trust gap between Washington and influential regional states.

The source explained that regional countries have realized that Washington has not only failed in its military confrontation with Iran but also lacks the capability and confidence to reach a diplomatic understanding with Tehran.
