Siddipet police arrested a woman and her minor son for allegedly murdering two women and plotting to kill four more. The duo, residents of Bhumapally, lured victims to their kirana shop, strangled them, and later disposed of the bodies.

Siddipet: In a shocking revelation, a married woman formed a gang with her minor son to kill a lonely woman for gain. After a woman’s charred body was found on the outskirts of Ramakkapet in Dubbak mandal on August 8, the police launched an investigation and found the mother-son duo as culprits.
The woman Chakali Rajitha and her son, residents of Bhumpally, had allegedly killed two women so far and attacked another woman for gain. They had four more targets in their plans which they wanted to execute in the coming few days. The arrest of the deadly gang saved the lives of these four targets.
Speaking to news reporters on Saturday, Commissioner of Police Rashmi Perumal said Athikam Vijaya (45), a resident of Bhumapally, was found dead on the outskirts of Ramakkapet on August 8.
During the investigation, the police found that Rajitha and her son, who invited the deceased into their kirana general store, had strangled her to death. Later, ,they took the body on a TVS moped and dumped it at Ramakkapet before setting the body on fire after dousing it with petrol.
The Commissioner said that they have also killed another woman Kunta Rekha, resident of 2-BHK colony in Bhumpally in May this year. The duo also attacked another woman Annapurna while she was on a morning walk on the outskirts of Bhumpally in 2025 and decamped with 5 tolas of gold.
In a startling revelation, the Commissioner said that the woman and her son would regularly monitor the vulnerable single women by tracking them at tea stalls and other mass gatherings.
The accused, who was produced before the court, was sent to remand while her minor son was sent to juvenile home. The police seized 5.61 tolas of gold ornaments, 53 tolas of silver ornaments, TVS XL moped, Rs one lakh cash and two mobile phones from them.
