Three held for duping Adilabad siblings with job offers abroad

Three persons were arrested in Adilabad for allegedly duping a woman and her brother of Rs 3 lakh by promising them jobs abroad. Police said the accused had demanded Rs 7 lakh and later issued promissory notes and blank cheques.

Three held for duping Adilabad siblings with job offers abroad

Adilabad: Three persons were arrested on charges of duping a woman and a man with the promise of jobs abroads. Briefing reporters on Friday, Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy said Mohd Khaja Moinuddin, Goremiya and Bale Srinivas had collected Rs 3 lakh from the woman and her brother of Adilabad town. Shaik Yasmin, an accused person, was still at large.

The trio reportedly confessed to collecting Rs 3 lakh from the two jobseekers after demanding Rs 7 lakh. They revealed that they gave promissory notes and blank cheques after they failed to provide the jobs. The victims approached the police when they realized that they were cheated.
