A Hyderabad priest set an example of honesty by handing over 8 tolas of gold jewellery he found near Begumpet Public School traffic signal to the police. CCTV footage helped trace the owner and the ornaments were returned.

Hyderabad: A priest, Shashidharacharyulu, displayed honesty by handing over around 8 tolas of gold jewellery that he found near the Begumpet Public School traffic signal.
The jewellery had reportedly fallen from the bag of a passerby on Thursday. Shashidharacharyulu, who noticed the ornaments while passing by, immediately took them to the Begumpet Police Station and handed them over to the police.
Police examined the CCTV footage and identified the owner as Sagar from Abids. The recovered gold ornaments were subsequently handed back to him.
The police appreciated Shashidharacharyulu for his honesty and responsible conduct.
