Norman Isaac named Event Director for FIBA U-18 Asia Cup


Norman Isaac of Hyderabad has been appointed Event Director for the FIBA Under-18 Asia Cup 2026, scheduled in Ahmedabad from August 13–23. Sixteen national teams from Asia and Oceania will compete, with the top four advancing to the FIBA U19 World Cup.

Norman Isaac named Event Director for FIBA U-18 Asia Cup

Hyderabad: Basketball Federation of India (BFI) informed on Tuesday that Norman Isaac of Hyderabad will be the Event Director for the prestigious hosting of the FIBA Under-18 Asia Cup 2026 for Men to be held at Ahmedabad under the aegis of FIBA, FIBA Regional Office–Asia at the Veer Savarkar Indoor Stadium, Naranpur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat from August 13 to 23.

Norman is also the chairman of the technical commission of the BFI.


The tournament will feature participation from the top 16 national teams across Asia & Oceania, with the top four teams qualifying for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2026, thereby underscoring its international significance.

“We look forward to your positive response and to working closely with FIBA Asia for the successful conduct of this championship by sharing your expertise and vast experience of being a FIBA Technical Delegate. As well as having assisted the Basketball Federation of India in a similar role in many international events conducted previously in India and abroad,” according to a BFI media release.
