A worker was seriously injured after allegedly being attacked with a sharp object at a jewellery-making workshop in Secunderabad’s General Bazaar. Police said an argument over payment allegedly escalated, resulting in a head injury. Mahankali police have registered a case.

Hyderabad: A worker was seriously injured after allegedly being attacked with a sharp object at a gold jewellery-making workshop at General Bazaar in Secunderabad.

The injured man, identified as Srinivas Chary, a native of Rajanna-Sircilla, had been working at a jewellery-making workshop attached to a gold shop in General Bazaar.


According to police, an argument broke out between Srinivas Chary and the shop owner, Raju, over payment of money allegedly due to the worker on Friday.

The argument reportedly escalated, following which Raju allegedly attacked Srinivas Chary on the head with a sharp object. He suffered a deep injury and heavy bleeding. Local residents immediately rushed him to a hospital for treatment.

Mahankali police registered a case and are investigating.
