Telangana orders private schools to submit class-wise fee details

Hyderabad: Tightening the noose around private and corporate schools that have allegedly been imposing exorbitant fee hikes, the School Education Department on Friday directed them to submit class-wise fee details, along with supporting documents showing the fixation of class-wise fees approved by the school’s governing body members, for the academic year 2026-27.

All private unaided schools have been instructed to display the class-wise fee details for the academic year 2026-27 and submit the same to the School Education Department through the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in/. The Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers have been instructed to issue show-cause notices to schools that fail to display the fee structure on their notice boards or submit the details to the department.

Earlier, the department directed all private unaided schools to submit their annual administration reports, along with audited statements of accounts certified by a chartered accountant, for the academic years 2023-24 and 2024-25. The schools were instructed to upload the details on the department’s website by July 30.
