Hyderabad: In a step to safeguard the younger generation from substance abuse, PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Picket on Friday hosted a comprehensive anti-drugs and narcotics awareness programme.

Jointly organized by the Shapath Organisation and the Eagle Force Hyderabad, the event formed a vital part of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign, emphasizing community-driven prevention and youth empowerment.


The event provided holistic insights into the physical, legal, and psychological repercussions of drug abuse. A series of expert sessions were conducted. Advocate Rammohan delivered a lecture on the legal implications and penalties associated with narcotics consumption and peddling, while Anuradha (SHO, Karkhana Police Station) and Dr. Vandana of KIMS Sunshine Hospital shared critical inputs on law enforcement perspectives and the severe medical consequences of addiction.

Police Inspector Srinivas Rao briefed students on the proactive role of Eagle Force in keeping educational institutions secure and urged students to stay vigilant.

An interactive quiz conducted by Rajendran, coupled with the screening of an educational video on anti-drug activities, kept the young audience engaged.

Principal Roopinder Singh, Vice Principal Mukesh Kumar, program coordinator Padmaja Ratnaker and students in large numbers participated in the event.
