BJP State president N Ramchander Rao said the party will contest the upcoming GHMC elections without any alliance in Telangana. He also dismissed reports of internal differences and claimed that leaders from other parties were keen to join the BJP.

Hyderabad: BJP State president N Ramchander Rao announced that his party would not have any alliance in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections and would contest the polls on its own.
The Jana Sena Party is part of the NDA. The national leadership would take a decision on the Jana Sena at the national level, but in Telangana, the BJP would not have any alliance with any party, he said while addressing the media in New Delhi on Friday. BJP national president Nitin Nabin held a meeting with MLAs, MPs and senior leaders from Telangana in the national capital.
The BJP State president claimed that there were no differences among leaders in the party. There could be differences of opinion on a few issues, but there were definitely no conflicts, he said. “There is nothing like old leaders versus new leaders in the BJP. These speculations are being created by a section of the media,” Rao said.
He claimed that many leaders from other parties were keen to join the BJP in the State. “We have enough candidates to contest the next Assembly elections. Since there are two-and-a-half years left for the elections, the leaders are taking their time to join,” Rao claimed.
