Hyderabad: For travellers dreaming of exploring Japan without the hassle of planning every detail, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a fully escorted holiday package covering some of the country’s most iconic destinations.

Named Japan Ex Delhi, the 10-day, 9-night tour will depart on September 6, 2026, and return on September 15, 2026. The itinerary includes Tokyo, Hakone, Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Hiroshima, with travel by flight from Delhi.

Japan has emerged as one of the most sought-after international destinations among Indian travellers in recent years. Known for its seamless blend of ancient traditions and cutting-edge technology, the country offers everything from historic shrines and scenic landscapes to modern cities, world-renowned cuisine and efficient transport systems.

The tour begins in Tokyo, where travellers will visit attractions such as Asakusa Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, Ueno Park, Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba and the Statue of Liberty replica. Weather permitting, the itinerary also includes a visit to the fifth station of Mount Fuji, one of the best viewpoints of Japan’s highest peak.

The journey continues through Hakone with visits to Owakudani Valley, a ride on the Hakone Ropeway and a cruise across Lake Ashi aboard the famous pirate ship. Travellers will also experience Japan’s renowned Shinkansen bullet train.

In Kyoto, the tour focuses on the country’s cultural heritage with visits to historic temples and traditional neighbourhoods. Osaka offers a taste of Japan’s vibrant food culture, while Nara is known for its freely roaming deer and centuries-old temples. The final stop, Hiroshima, gives visitors an opportunity to explore its memorials and museums that reflect an important chapter of world history.

The package includes return economy airfare, accommodation in four-star hotels, Japan tourist visa charges, daily meals, airport transfers, sightseeing in air-conditioned coaches, entrance fees, travel insurance for passengers below 70 years, the services of an English-speaking guide and all applicable taxes.

The package is priced at ₹3,45,999 per person on triple sharing, ₹3,49,999 per person on twin sharing and ₹4,73,999 for single occupancy. The fare for children aged 5 to 11 years is ₹2,92,499 with a bed and ₹2,63,999 without a bed.
