BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan accused Congress leaders of targeting T Harish Rao with personal allegations over his visit to the Mookambika temple. He demanded a public apology and alleged the campaign was intended to divert attention from key public issues.

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan condemned the Congress leaders’ allegations against BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T Harish Rao, accusing them of resorting to personal attacks. He ridiculed their allegations that Harish Rao had performed occult rituals at the Mookambika temple in Karnataka.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, Sravan said Congress leaders were indulging in character assassination by alleging that Harish Rao had performed black magic or occult rituals. He said visiting a temple could not be equated with such practices and accused the Congress leaders of insulting Hindu beliefs and the spiritual significance of the Mookambika temple.
The BRS MLC said Harish Rao had been actively questioning the Congress government on several issues and that the latest allegations by Congress leaders reflected their inability to respond to him. He questioned whether Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka leaders and others who visit temples, should also be accused of performing occult rituals.
Sravan criticised the Congress for allegedly reducing the discourse at Gandhi Bhavan to personal attacks, stating that its leaders had moved from using abusive language to making allegations of occult practices. He said such remarks reflected a disregard for scientific temper and constitutional values.
He alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud were behind the campaign against Harish Rao. He demanded that they publicly apologise for the allegations.
