Hyderabad: Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Gandipet, celebrated its first Graduation Day on Saturday, marking the institution’s first convocation after attaining autonomous status in 2021. Degrees were awarded to the first two autonomous batches, with more than 1,000 graduates participating.
The ceremony was attended by T Kishen Kumar Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, and Prasad Chitluri, Vice President and Head, COO Office, Persistent Systems.
MGIT Principal G Chandramohan Reddy highlighted the institution’s three-decade journey of delivering value-based technical education and thanked the management, faculty and staff for their contributions.
Gold and silver medals were presented to outstanding students of the first autonomous batches. The event was attended by representatives of the Chaitanya Bharathi Educational Society, academic leaders, faculty members, graduates and parents.
