BRS leaders mourn death of Telangana activist Peddi Sudarshan Reddy

BRS leaders paid rich tributes to former Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, recalling his contributions to the Telangana movement, dedication to public service and close association with K Chandrashekhar Rao. They described his death as an irreparable loss to the party and society.

BRS leaders mourn death of Telangana activist Peddi Sudarshan Reddy

Hyderabad: The death of former Narsampet MLA and senior BRS leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy has triggered an outpouring of grief among party leaders, who recalled his role in the Telangana movement, his close association with BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao and his commitment to public service. Leaders described his death as an irreparable loss to the BRS and Telangana society.

BRSLP deputy floor leader T Harish Rao said he was deeply shocked and saddened by Sudarshan Reddy’s untimely death. “We all waited with hope that he would overcome death and return to us while undergoing treatment. But it is extremely difficult to accept that he is no longer among us,” he said.


He described Sudarshan Reddy as a brother, movement colleague and a kind-hearted person who carried the spirit of the Telangana movement throughout his life. He said Sudarshan Reddy would remain in people’s hearts as a leader who worked continuously for the people and served the party with dedication. He offered his condolences to Sudarshan Reddy’s family, relatives and followers and prayed for strength for them to overcome the loss.

BRS parliamentary party leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra said Sudarshan Reddy was a frontline fighter in the Telangana movement and worked for strengthening the party and the development of Narsampet. He termed him as a close friend and said his death was a major loss to the party, the constituency and Telangana society.

Former MP Vinod Kumar recalled Sudarshan Reddy’s active role in the Telangana movement and his close association with Chandrashekhar Rao. He said Sudarshan Reddy worked persistently for the development of Narsampet and played a key role in the movement in erstwhile Warangal district.

Former Minister and MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy said Telangana lost a great movement leader. He recalled Sudarshan Reddy’s courage, commitment and sacrifices during the statehood movement and his continued work among people.

Former Minister S Niranjan Reddy described his death as deeply shocking and an irreparable loss to the BRS and Telangana. He prayed for strength to his family and followers in his loss.

BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan said integrity, honesty and an uncompromising fighting spirit defined Sudarshan Reddy. MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy said his life was a continuous struggle for the people and the causes he believed in.

Former TNGOs president and BRS leader Devi Prasad, and BRS general secretary RS Praveen Kumar, also paid tributes to Sudarshan Reddy and conveyed their condolences to his family.
