Siddipet: Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy accused Collector K Hymavathi and other district officials of ignoring the Dubbak constituency. During a review meeting with officials and elected representatives of Dubbak mandal at his constituency headquarters on Wednesday, Prabhakar Reddy asked the district-level officials to make regular visits to Dubbak to review the progress of development works and welfare schemes in the constituency.
He threatened to lay siege to the Collectorate if they continued to ignore his constituency. The BRS MLA has been holding mandal-level review meetings with officials and elected representatives. However, a section of officials skipped his meetings, forcing the MLA to take on the official machinery.
After coming to know about his efforts in holding mandal-level review meetings, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Seethakka appreciated the BRS MLA when he met her recently seeking funds for his constituency. She further called upon the remaining MLAs to hold similar meetings to review the progress of works since the tenure of MPTCs and ZPTCs had ended long ago.
