CISF topped the men’s kyorugi competition with four gold medals at the All India Police Judo Cluster Games in Hyderabad. Uttar Pradesh Police won the women’s title, while BSF and Assam Rifles secured the runner-up positions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively

Hyderabad: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) emerged champions with four gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the men’s kyorugi (taekwondo) event at the All India Police Judo Cluster Games held at the GMC Balayogi Stadium here on Tuesday.
Border Security Force (BSF) secured the runner-up position with three gold, one silver and three bronze medals, while Uttar Pradesh Police finished third with two silver and two bronze medals.
In the women’s category, Uttar Pradesh Police emerged champions with two gold, one silver and two bronze medals, while CISF finished second with two gold and two bronze medals. Assam Rifles secured the third position with two gold and one bronze medal.
Mr Vinod Kumar Muppidi, Executive Director, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), Kanchanbagh, and Mr Y Srinivasa Rao, Executive Director, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), gave away the prizes.
The Pencak Silat discipline also concluded on Tuesday, with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) emerging as the overall champions with 12 gold, four silver and four bronze medals.
Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) finished second with eight gold, four silver and three bronze medals, while Maharashtra secured the third position with two gold, three silver and four bronze medals.
