Hyderabad: Renowned spiritual guide and president of the Ram Chandra Mission, Kamlesh D Patel, popularly known as Daaji, urged parents and educators to create environments built on trust, presence and emotional security for their children.
Participating in an interactive session on the evolving role of education in preparing children for life beyond examinations at Kanha Shanti Vanam on the outskirts of the city, Daaji emphasised that children often learn more from observing adults than from listening to advice, adding that values are cultivated through everyday actions and experiences.
The interactive session, which also featured education leader Devyani Jaipuria, Pro Vice Chairperson of DPS International, Gurugram, focussed on the importance of emotional resilience, self-awareness, empathy and purpose as essential life skills alongside academic excellence.
The session brought together students from DPS International, Gurugram, DPS Sector 45 and Dharav High School, while hundreds more participated virtually from their campuses.
The dialogue also explored leadership in a rapidly changing world, with Daaji and Devyani Jaipuria highlighting empathy, self-awareness and purpose as qualities that define effective leadership in educational institutions.
Students actively participated in the session, raising questions on examination stress, AI, social media, digital addiction, comparison culture and finding purpose.
Responding to these concerns, Daaji encouraged young people to develop self-awareness and use technology responsibly, describing it as a tool that should support learning rather than shape identity.
