Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar has placed Malakpet Inspector Kumbham Narasimha under suspension following an internal inquiry into alleged lapses in the discharge of his duties.
According to police sources, Inspector Narasimha was transferred to Dabeerpura Police Station on April 14 this year and was later posted to Malakpet. Before that, he served as the Inspector at Sultan Bazar Police Station.
The suspension order was issued after an inquiry reportedly found negligence in the handling of certain cases and lapses in the performance of official responsibilities during his tenure at Sultan Bazar.
Based on the findings of the inquiry, the Commissioner of Police ordered his suspension pending further departmental proceedings.
