Hyderabad: Unable to bear harassment by her husband and mother-in-law, a woman died by suicide at her house in Bandlaguda Jagir in Rajendranagar on Thursday.
The woman identified as Sridevi (25), a native of Narayanpet district had married Mahipal six years ago. The couple, who have three children – two daughters and a son, had recently shifted to Adarsh Colony in Bandlaguda Jagir, where both were working at a hardware manufacturing unit.
Police said Sridevi had allegedly been facing frequent quarrels with her husband and harassment from her mother-in-law in recent months. Upset over the situation, she is believed to have hanged herself from a ceiling fan at her house.
On being alerted by locals, the Rajendranagar police reached the spot and took up investigation.
