Hyderabad: As part of the preparation for the successful hosting of the Khelo India Youth Games 2026 in Telangana, Special Chief Secretary (Sports), Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, chaired reviewed the overall preparedness for the Games, including competition management, infrastructure readiness, athlete and guest facilities, inter-departmental coordination, logistics, venue preparedness, and other key operational aspects.He stressed the need for seamless coordination among all departments to ensure the successful conduct of the Games in Telangana.

Sports Authority of India (SAI) Deputy Director General Mayank Srivastava IPS said the Khelo India programme was launched to revive India’s sporting culture at the grassroots level by creating a robust framework for all sports played in the country and to establish India as a leading sporting nation.


The SATG VC.& MD Dr. Soni Bala Devi said the Authority would put the best efforts to conduct the Khelo India Youth Games in accordance with the guidelines and standards prescribed under the Khelo India programme.

Among those present at the meeting were SAI officials Amar Jyoti, Madhu Harsha, Gopal Kandpal, and Mohit, along with Sports Authority of Telangana officials Dr. Ravi Teja, Ravinder, Srinivas, Suresh, and other senior officials.
