Student organisations staged protests across Hyderabad against the alleged police lathi-charge on ‘Chalo Sansad’ protesters in Delhi over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak. They demanded a transparent probe, Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, NTA’s abolition and compensation for affected families.

Hyderabad: A series of protests by left-affiliated student unions over police lathi-charge on students during the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march in Delhi over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak issue rocked the city on Friday.
A large number of student activists, along with students, carried out the ‘Student Rally’, in solidarity with protesting students in Delhi.
The SFI, AISF, NSUI, PDSU, AIFDS, AIPSU, and AISB rally, which began at Narayanaguda X Roads and concluded at the Y-junction. Traffic came to standstill on the busy Narayanguda road due to the protest.
Further, as per the bandh call given the student organisations, several educational institutions have remained closed.
Apart from demanding a transparent inquiry into the incidents in Delhi, the student organisations wanted the Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign over the paper leak issue. In addition, they demanded an ex-gratia of Rs.1 crore for students who died by suicide due to paper leak.
Further, the student organisations wanted the Central government to abolish the National Testing Agency and withdraw the proposed Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill 2025.
