BRS leaders and cadres across Khammam and Kothagudem districts marked the birthday of party working president K. T. Rama Rao with charity programmes including blood donation camps, Annadanam, distribution of food and gifts, prayers, and sapling plantation drives.

Khammam: Charity programmes marked the birthday celebrations of BRS working president KT Rama Rao across erstwhile Khammam district on Friday.
The BRS ranks cut cakes, distributed fruits, bread, donated blood and conducted ‘Annadanam’ in Kothagudem and Khammam districts. At Khammam district party office former MLA Banoth Chandravathi, leaders Bellam Venu, Uppala Venkataramana and others cut a cake.
The party leaders Gundala Krishna, Pagadala Nagaraju, Bachu Vijayakumar, Karnataka Krishna, Maqbool, Mohammed Tajuddin organised a mega blood donation camp and celebrated the birthday by cutting a cake at Khammam’s Mamatha Hospital.
A leader Gade Anil donated 200 steel water bottles to students at the Puttakota Primary School in the 15th division. At the Gayatri Home for the Mentally Challenged, a meal was arranged for the children.
In Kothagudem, 50th division BRS leader B Srinivas along with minority leader Syed Ahmed and activists Sagar and Chaman Srinu distributed bread and fruits to the elderly at the Chaman Basti Old Age Home.
Former municipal chairperson Kapu Seethalakshmi planted saplings in Ramavaram town centre, cut a cake at Amma Orphanage in Hemachandrapuram, where ‘Annadanam’ was also organised.
At Yellandu, the party founder-member Dindigala Rajender offered special prayers at Suvarchala Anjaneya Swamy Temple, distributed milk to patients at Yellandu Government Hospital and conducted Annadanam at Telangana Chowrasta.
The party leaders hailed Rama Rao as a leader who has been instilling courage in every party worker and providing direction at every step besides championing the aspirations of the poor. His role in transforming the landscape of Telangana and placing it on the global map in the IT and industrial sectors was truly memorable, they added.
