The terrorist US military has carried out fresh aerial assaults on Iran, killing civilians near a passenger terminal at a border crossing with Iraq.
The deadly bombings targeted three southern Iranian provinces of Khuzestan, Bushehr and Hormozgan early on Thursday.
Valiollah Hayati, deputy governor of Khuzestan province for security and law enforcement affairs, said that two people were killed and 11 others injured in the US attacks on the vicinity of the Shalamcheh passenger terminal at the Iraq border crossing.
Emergency response operations are ongoing while commuting of pilgrims through the Shalamcheh border crossing continues without disruption, he added.
Additionally in his remarks, Hayati said an asphalt storage warehouse on the outskirts of the city of Ramshir and a location near the city of Ahvaz were also targeted by American missiles.
He further said that over the past 10 days, a total of eight people were killed in US strikes that hit approximately 95 locations across Khuzestan province.
Meanwhile, Ehsan Jahanian, the deputy governor of Bushehr for political and security affairs, reported attacks on the province, noting, however, that they caused no casualties.
Hormozgan Province’s Ports and Maritime Administration said two maritime search-and-rescue vessels were seriously damaged in US air raids, which constituted a flagrant violation of international conventions and regulations.
It also condemned the attacks and stressed its commitment to continue maritime search-and-rescue operations and provide services to mariners.
For twelve consecutive nights, the US military has conducted waves of deadly aerial assaults on Iran, committing war crimes by targeting civilian sites.
In response, Iranian armed forces have launched heavy reprisal attacks against strategic American targets across West Asia.
The United States and the Israeli regime waged their illegal war of aggression against Iran on February 28. However, forty days later, on April 8, the enemies were forced to accept a ceasefire amid Iran’s brave resistance, successful retaliatory operations, and powerful grip on the Strait of Hormuz.
On June 17, Tehran and Washington signed the Pakistan-brokered Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to end all hostilities and prepare for further negotiations.
However, Washington violated all provisions of the understanding, prompting Iran to deliver a firm response.
